Zemba by Steranko

I was going to make this a "What's the Difference" puzzle but then I just got a hankerin' to mess with it (just a bit).  This has always been one of my favorite covers by J. S. but as I looked at it I just couldn't help but want some separation to really emphasize the figures.

Maybe I'm misguided here and this is from a scan of a paperback cover so I really don't know how the original painting looked but I like the focus being on the figures.  But for those who don't like what I've done, here's the way it looked when it hit the bookstores.

I do like the richness of this one, just with the foreground didn't merge as much with the background.
