The Sanctum will be dark for awhile

The real world sometimes intrudes and thus I will be away from any of my systems for a week.  Have a great week, agents and stay vigilant.

The Star of Delhi

An average cover with our hero in peril.  I don't like to have The Shadow shown in this kind of dire situation and (apparently) being saved by the police.  I know The Dark Eagle will survive and punish the bad guys but I prefer my hero not looking so helpless.  I have yet to read this Gibson tale but this review says it's above average for 1941 and I have no reason to not believe John.

Death Has Gray Eyes

"Apparently the art director apparently has none at all."  Bill Thinnes.

I agree that this is a bad cover for The Shadow but I actually like the rendering of the art.  Composition is poor.  Concept is poor.  Text layout is poor.  Is the tale poor?  I can't speak to this but this review can.  You be the judge.

Lee Weeks does The Shadow

I've always been a fan of Lee's.  Glad he has taken a shot at The Shadow.  Would love to see a series done by him.

The Yellow Band

An okay cover, art wise.  Seems like just an average pulp cover save for the shadow of The Shadow.  I don't know if the tale is any better since I haven't read it but check it out for yourself with this review.

The Magigal's Mystery

Meh.  At least The Shadow is back in the classic style as there are only two more issues left in this iconic run.  Too bad he seems more concerned with being attacked by geese than the knife flying past his face.  An odd cover but since I haven't read this one I have no idea how this cover relates to the story.  W B G was back for this third of the final five so I will say it is probably (definitely) better than the Elliott stories that doomed this series.  If you are like me and have yet to read this then check out this review to give you a quick insight into the tale.

Star Trek turns 50

I was a Trek fan before I was aware of The Shadow.  This show still resonates with me in a big way and I am excited that it's still going strong at 50.  Happy Birthday to the crew of the USS Enterprise and to all that have followed and have yet to come.

Stuart Sayger does The Shadow

Just found this.  Reminds me of Kossin.  Fun version of our hero.

The Python

A slam bang cover, more pulp action than classic Shadow, but it works for me.  From this review I can't wait to read this adventure.  It sounds like a slam bang tale indeed.
