The Shadow's Shadow

Ah, what a fun cover. Wish I had a better image of this story. The colorful shadows crossing "paths" set a great tone for this early tale that, I'm sure, jumped off of the newsstand and into the hands of many a fan. This story introduced the Dark Eagle persona and also alluded to the "horror face" as well as again speaking to the Shadow's weekly radio broadcast. I love the early stories as Gibson explored and very ably created a rich and yet mysterious character and his world. For those interested a very brief review of this great tale can be found here.
