Struggled with this one a bit, but...VOODOO DEATH. Liked this story when I was a neophyte back in the 60s and read it in THE WEIRD ADVENTURES hc; not sure what I'd think today; probably pale before the Moquino novels. (Doctor MacAbre - get it? Bit heavy-handed, there...) Fair cover for a digest, which ain't sayin' a lot, I realize. Still, one of the first REAL Shadow novels I read. Probably the second, right after GROVE OF DOOM in the same book...
