The Man From Shanghai puzzle... SOLVED!

"Agent J reports: car added in top right, window added next to Shadow's foot, knife blade, that's all I can find for now!"

The other two differences are the thumbnail on the knife hand of the the bad guy and The Shadow's cloak has been elongated.  Hey, I try to be sneaky...

And in case this puzzle didn't intrigue you enough then check out this review to see why you should read Walter B. Gibson's "The Man From Shanghai"!  It'll have you hanging onto every word!  And why shouldn't it, it was the 100th published adventure of that man of mystery... The Shadow!

Does The Shadow have the ability to clouds the minds of...

ANTS?!  I guess we'll just have to read the tale and find out.  Can't say that I like this particular cover but it is fairly well done.

The answer is...

Murder Trail.  Love this cover and this story.  I also love the paperback cover as well.  Goodness all around.

Let's start the week off with a puzzle

Don't kill yourself trying to figure out this one, just follow the deductive path.

I guess I'll just post the answer

The Plot Master.  Nice cover with a wonderful story contained inside.  Just a shout out to Dwight  Fuhro who posted this clean cover on Facebook.  Mr. Fuhro has probably the largest collection of memorabilia related to The Shadow in the world.

Well, the reprint anyhow.

"Lamont Cranston investigates crime in classic pulp thrillers by Walter. B. Gibson and Bruce Elliott writing as “Maxwell Grant." First, one by one, prominent citizens fall victim to “Fingers of Death” and only The Shadow can uncover the murderous mastermind behind the serial killings! Then, mysterious writing on a wall, a toy boat and a kite set Lamont Cranston on the trail of the Hollywood extortionist behind “The Blackest Mail." BONUS: a lost Shadow radio adventure by Walter Gibson! This instant collectors item showcases the original color pulp covers plus the classic interior illustrations by Tom Lovell and Newt Alfred with historical commentary by Will Murray."

Not The Shadow...

...but another of my all time favorite characters.  Plus this film came out two years after the 1994 "The Shadow" film and one that I thought was quite well done.  It certainly can't go toe to toe with the Marvel films or DC movies but it captured, for me, the charm and even sensibility of the time.  This would have been a great poster is they had gone ahead with it.  Drew Struzan is the artist.

Good eye, Agent J

This simple cover made it hard to come up with too much to change.  You got them all, sir.

Gradient background
A shadow cast over The Shadow's eyes
Blofeld's cat seems to be wearing contacts
The crystal ball seems to have a less than rosy future to tell
"A Complete Novel" is now "The Final Novel"

Thanks for playing.

What's the Difference #27

Five changes to this, the last pulp appearance of our hero.  A sad day 69 years ago.
