Against All Odds
I can never get enough of these great illustrations. Was there ever a character more suited to having his stories told through black and white art? The flash of crimson from the inside of his cloak or from the fire opal really aren't as important as the inky shadows and the high contrast play of light and dark that form the formless avenger. The flashlight catching our hero as he hurtles headlong down the staircase seems to be just that moment of revelation for the bad guys. And in a blink of an eye he will meld back into the darkness and wreak havoc on the fools who believed that crime does pay. Soon they will know better.
