Unless I miss my guess, THE MAGIGALS MYSTERY. Not a favorite. The knife-throwing girl and crystal skull are vaguely interesting, but The Shadow looking concerned about a goose nibbling on his cape just doesn't rank up there with the classic perils...Story's fair, but it mentions Dubuque, where I grew up; a nice plus!
