THE FATE JOSS. Always loved this cover, even back in the old days when I'd only seen a small B&W pic of it in Murray's HISTORY OF THE SHADOW MAGAZINE [an INVALUABLE book, if you don't have it. Really valuable, if you do!] My only gripe would be the red background, red being not up there on my favorite colors list. And there's some artistic confusion concerning The Shadow's hands, the gun, the cloak [or is it a sleeved robe; looks like it here...] All very minor complaints; overall an action-filled, fun cover with a real Chinatown atmosphere and a huge idol to boot!
