In the village of Ako, Japan, December 14 celebrates the famous story of the 47 Ronin. This is one of my favorite tales and I try to read it about this time each year. A great example of bushido and the code of the samurai. I know it's not The Shadow but this just seems to be a good time to indulge in another of my interests.
