Nice cover, in my opinion. Sort of "Hunchback of Notre Dame" in concept. Perhaps that was a popular public theme in the day. The execution of the painting is very nice, almost Lyendecker in technique.Don't know much of the story since I haven't progressed that far in the reprints but I will get to it someday. In the meantime we can just be content with this synopsis, it sounds like a winner.
