I have an affinity for covers that seem to be a part of the story. A clew! How exciting. I'm starting to think that Gladney took the whole "mask-like visage" to heart. His version of The Shadow does look a bit waxy. The story is a WW II tale written in 1938. America had not entered the fray yet. I look forward to reading how The Shadow, his agents, law enforcement, feds and some others take on the evil that would try and engulf the world.
