Absolutely awful cover. So yellow and so poorly designed. Not even worth talking about anymore. I have not read the novel by Tinsley that was originally titled "The Circle A Mystery". There had to be a better scene to illustrate. Here is a link to a review of this particular tale.

I was talking about a clue further down the page, which I assumed went with the 'yellow' clues, since a 'solution' was never posted prior to the further 'yellow' ones...
