Crime Under Cover

I'm a sucker for the gimmicks like the cover folding back or the faux yellow band encircling the issue of the same name.  However, that's where I draw the line on this one.  Granted, the features are there but this cover makes The Shadow look merely like a man in a hat and cloak... and one being taken by surprise, something our hero should never allow to happen.  No ring and no mystery to this cover.  I should hope the story is better.  I haven't read the story yet but this review doesn't give me any hope for anything better under this cover.
