Another tiny gun masquerading as a 'huge smokewagon'.  Otherwise, a hand cover is always a treat in my  eyes.

"Voodoo Trail"

 The final installment of The Voodoo Master trilogy.  Doctor Rodil Mocquino is at it once again.  He will, however, face his fate at the hands of The Shadow... finally.  Great stuff and a story arc that is truly a classic.

  This was also turned into a back-up story in Shadow Comics #25.  And why wouldn't they, right?!

"The Hand"

 Milestone issue.  150th published novel.  Great run for any character and yet it is not even the halfway point of this series.

This is the first of five novels loosely connected under the concept of a hand.  This issue deals with "Pinkey" Findlen.  Blackmail!  The other four run from July 1, 1938 until February 1, 1939.  Not a great cover, though.

 I really love this cover.  A nod to the radio version of The Shadow, a nice portrait and the left hand with the fabulous girasol ring displayed prominently.  Unfortunately it seems that this is not one of the stronger 1938 tales.  But then I guess it's really up to the reader to decide so... read it.
