I love the hieroglyphs on the top of the Tower of Death.  Otherwise, this cover doesn't do much for me.  I enjoyed the story well enough and so will you.

 Despite a cover that makes it look like The Shadow just finished washing his hair this is a pretty good adventure.  Of course, it's an early tale and those usually deliver.

"The Cobra"

I've often wondered if this cobra image is how Rozen viewed the cobra tattoo that supposedly resided on the chest of the fair skinned and blonde description from the contest run in the early days of the magazine.  Of course, Walter threw all of that nonsense aside but could George have thought to finally give a rendering to that early concept.  Of course, only The Shadow knows.
