Saturday's random pulp cover: Adventure: March, 1911

An 1911 edition of "Adventure" magazine.  Below is the original cover painting  before cleaning and after.  Love how they painted the masthead into the piece.

Before cleaning...

...and after.

Maybe I'm the only one who likes this kind of thing but I thought I'd share, nonetheless.

Saturday's random pulp cover: Wings: Outlaw Aces: November, 1932

Cool cover that pre-dates Arnold Schwarzenegger's scene from "The Eraser".  What's even cooler is that I found the original painting online.  I'm providing the before and after of the conversation process.  Enjoy.

The Sunday Comics: The Shadow Comics "The Spider Boy" page 14

"We better call an ambulance!"

And so ends the sad tale of The Spider Boy.  Peter Parker really lucked out!

Saturday's random pulp cover: Adventure Magazine: Warden of the Zone: March 1943

WOW!  Just... WOW!  Not much more adventurous than this.  Beautiful cover.  From the composition to the colors to the spot on rendering.  Just gorgeous.

This is the Canadian publication and the stories are reprinted from the October 1942 American edition but the cover artwork is entirely different.

Saturday's random pulp cover: The Scorpion: Satan's Incubator: April/May 1939

This is apparently the only issue of The Scorpion.  A pretty generic pulp cover, but I like that tattoo across the antagonist's face.  I know nothing about this character but it looks like he has a crew that looks like him, right down to the scorpion tat.
