"The Robot Master"

Here are a couple of my comments from previous posts.  They hold true for me so why not share them all over again.

" From May of 1943, a cover I don't even know how to address.  Nothing "Shadow-ish" about it.  Could be an Ellery Queen digest if not for the masthead.  And what misguided art director thought that losing the iconic logo was a good idea?  Change for change sake is rarely a good thing.  And we all know what the changes to our favorite character brought about." - July 19, 2010

"Meh.  Not my cuppa but I guess it's an alright representation of the editorial staff trying to keep up with the times.  It really doesn't represent The Shadow very well.  I have not read this one and it will be sometime before I do as this is from 1943 and I'm still working my way through the early to mid '30s." - November 14, 2016

However, if you want a better cover to this story then check out the Shadow Comics issue that a simplified rendition was presented.

Sure, it has nothing to do with "The Robot Master" but at least it feels like a Shadow cover.  Still want something better?  Okay, let's go with this...

Yeah, yeah, I know it's from H B Jove's "Charg, Monster" but if they can use "The Northdale Mystery" art as the paperback cover for "Mobsmen on the Spot" then I think we can repurpose this cover for our own amusement.
