The last novel of 1943 is pretty appropriate for October. C'mon, that's a werewolf on the cover! Covered in blood! Even without any indication of The Shadow present I'd still be on board with this tale. And just for good measure this one was included in the hardback edition of 1966's The Weird Adventures of The Shadow, although a very abridged version that was missing 6,000 words. This is the first issue of the new digest format for The Shadow. The days of the true pulps were at an end. Such is the nature of change and the realities of a world at war.
