Oh, the story. Well, John postulates a theory (a feeling, really) that Gibson may not have written this one, just cleaned it up like he did with "The Golden Vulture" by Lester Dent. I guess we may never know.

"Crime Caravan"
Yes! A cover of The Shadow with The Shadow on it! And an action shot, to boot. Score. I thought this might be the first cover to bring in the dreaded red scarf but upon review it seems that a couple more used this awful addition to the costume/outfit/uniform of our hero. "House of Ghosts" may have the first look but it is pretty well disguised. "Syndicate of Death" looks to be the first one to have the scarf waving about. However, "Crime Caravan" really makes it prominent. Damn you, Modest Stein!
