 Nice little moment captured (heh) here.  Of course, Clark will prevail against whatever nefarious group of evil doers is threatening him and the nation/world this month.  That won't stop the true fan from grabbing this one off of the stand and settling in a corner with a glass of milk and thrilling to another adventure with The Man of Bronze.  This particular adventure was written by Harold Davis, standing in for Lester Dent.  Robert George "R. G." Harris is the artist for this issue.

Saturday's random pulp cover: The Whisperer : "The Dead Who Talked"_October, 1936

The Whisperer had two runs as in his own magazine.  From October 1936 through December 1937 (first run) and that is where this issue is from.  Number 1 featuring "The Dead Who Talked".  A pretty nice cover from John Newton Howitt makes this a pretty great start.  I have no idea how the story plays out but all the pieces were there.  Could the magic strike again for Street & Smith?  It seems not to have been in the stars for Jim "Wildcat" Gordon.
