It's interesting that one of the most famous pulp covers is Rozen's "The Creeping Death" with the skeletal figure of Death coming through the curtains. However, the previous paperback had The Shadow coming from behind curtains (see yesterday's post for "Green Eyes") so it appears that Steranko found inspiration in another classic cover... "The Book of Death". A very nice homage to that cover from Mr. Steranko.
