"There is no need for further alarm. This case is ended." - The Shadow
This is the sixth published adventure from Theodore Tinsley and it has a bit of an interesting bit of foreshadowing (no pun intended) of what was to come for the country. Tinsley wrote this four and a half years before it came to pass...
"A new and terrible war threatened the peace of the world. It was being
deliberately fomented in the Far East. The United States was one of the
victims to be attacked... its success depended on a surprise aerial
attack without a second's warning."
Eerily accurate description of Pearl Harbor.
This was also reprinted in The Thriller Library as "Man Trap".
