I like this cover well enough but I agree with Agent T that Gladney should not have used himself as the model for our hero. That and the hat is not "Shadowy" enough for my tastes. I do like the absence of the red lining and no white cuffs in this plus that is a really cool skeleton pouring out the "crimson death".
I have no idea about this story so I naturally head over to "
The Shadow in Review" site to see what the knowledgeable Mr. Olson has to say about this
tale. By the way, thankfully the editors changed the title from "The Falling Sickness". Wow, that would've been a very different cover (cue Dick Van Dyke).
