The Broken Napoleons
Not my favorite but not my least favorite, just a middle of the road cover for me. Love the raw feel of the rain and metal, giving us the sense of being out on the high seas but there's just not that great finish to this. I have read this one and can recommend this to any fan of The Shadow. Enjoy!

An adjustment
Just thought I'd update this classic cover a bit with some background texture. Hope I don't upset anyone.

Fingers of Death
Love this cover. This is how I see The Shadow, someone who knows all and can be anywhere. This is the menace that threatens any and all who would do harm to innocent citizens across the globe. Okay, the wacky colors behind him are not my favorite but this is a classic.

Kaluta
The only redeeming aspect of this series has been the Kaluta covers. Issue two wasn't as offensive as issue one, but that may be because my expectations have dropped so low. Is it too much to ask for decent writing and adhering to the character that Gibson crafted over 18 years? I guess so...

The Ghost Murders
Not crazy about this cover. Love the code icons for the background, though. I haven't read this one so I have no comment on the story. A side note; I wish they had stuck with the original title

The answer
Well, nobody is taking a shot at these but that won't deter me from making them. They are sort of fun and I've always enjoyed finding hidden clews or differences, making me feel like a bit of a detective.

Thanks for stepping into my little sanctum
A little post for my Russian followers. I have to say, The Romanoff Jewels is one of my favorite novels. This is the tale that tells of the origin of The Shadow's mysterious girasol that rests on his left hand. This story is the one that has sparked my interest in WWI and the Russian Tsars and royal families. Of course this leads to interest in Rasputin, such a great character even if much of it has been exaggerated.
Anyhow, here is the link to a review of this great story. If you haven't read it please do, it's an essential part of The Dark Eagle's history.

The Dark Death
Love this odd cover. The cool table with the elephant heads, the guinea pigs playing with the mystic yet retro-futuristic device and The Shadow peeking out from behind the curtain, like the Wizard of Oz. The colors are really nice with this one.
