Vengeance Is Mine!
As anyone who has spent any time on this blog knows, I LOVE the hand covers. Even if the story is just average (hey, just looking at this review) the cover is just too fun to not love this issue. The "purple" girasol and the blue light!!!! C'mon, this is awesome.

First clew after Windy City
Agent T, I hope you had a great time in Chitown and that you found some great new additions to your Shadow collection. Oh, and give this clew a bit of time if you can.

Castle of Doom
Not a bad cover (although not a great cover). Gripping (heh) scene that probably did exactly what it was supposed to do... grab the casual buyer's attention. Is the story worthy of dropping a dime because the cover intrigued the viewer. Since I haven't read the tale I'll have to defer to Mr. Olsen's comprehensive review.

The Blue Sphinx
Cool cover. This has all the feel of a 1930's movie poster. I love it. And I hope I'll love the story.

Last clew before Easter
Agent T, this should be simple for such a capable operative. Happy Easter to you and your family and all the agents and theirs, as well.

Art print by Sandy Kossin
This is the order form for the new Sandy Kossin print (from his awesome cover to the Bantam printing of The Death Tower) that Agent T had a hand in getting up and running. What a great opportunity for Shadow fans. Thanks, Bill.

The Toll of Death
Sorry guys, gotta put 'em all up (no matter how un-Shadow like they may be). Haven't read it? Then check out this review (not exactly glowing but when compared to the early stuff it probably couldn't be).

Crime's Stronghold
An okay cover. A bit of action but nothing to make this stand out amongst the great images that we have come to know and love. I have not read this one so all I know is what this review tells me. Sounds like fun, though. Kind of wish there were some monkeys on the cover...

Six Men of Evil
A classic cover for a classic tale (You're right, Agent T, this is how The Master of Men should look!). I have read this one and enjoyed to ride. If you haven't had the pleasure then find the Sanctum reprint and settle in. If you want to know a bit more then check out this recap from the always excellent "The Shadow in Review" site.

City of Fear
I've thought that it would be interesting for new versions of some of the lesser covers to be painted. Same basic concept, different technique. What if James Bama had painted this cover? Or maybe Drew Struzan? Why do I bring this up? This isn't the best of covers. It's not the worst and that's what makes it too bad. Just a bit more pizzazz and it might have been far more memorable. I haven't read this one and if you haven't then maybe this review will help you decide if it is next on your reading list or falls somewhere else.
