Saturday's random pulp cover: Terror Tales September 1934
Yikes. A lake of blood! A shackled and frightened damsel! A green hand dragging her to her inevitable demise. Terror indeed.

At Christmas it is usually the thought that counts. Take a listen to good intentions bringing about unintentional tragedy. Leave it to Margot and Lamont to get tangled up in another case of greed and murder. Tune in and unwrap "A Gift of Murder" with a mug of eggnog... in March.

Saturday's random pulp cover: Adventure July 18th 1918
What a great illustration. Sure, it ain't action packed but it sure stirs images of buried treasure and riches beyond one's wildest dreams.

Saturday's random pulp cover: Doc Savage Magazine "The Monsters"
Great depiction of Doc in the grip of a "monstrous" hand. This appeals to my affinity for the great "hand" paintings that graced so many of The Shadow Magazine covers.

A killer is using a comic strip as inspiration to inflict terror on the populace. Is it the doctor who invented the actual poison? Is it the handyman who is the model for the comic character Hypo? Or is it someone else? And how is the poison administered, leaving no mark? I guess the clue is in the characters name. Tune in and see how comics have become a corrupting influence and should be stamped... heh. Just take a listen and thrill to another adventure of The Shadow... "The Comic Strip Killer".

Saturday's random pulp cover: Complete Gang Novel Magazine "The Devil's Due"
Not the greatest cover but it gets its point across. I would rename the story "Breadsticks and Bullets".

What more can one want from an episode of "Lamont & Margot Go Sleuthing" than to find an innocent man hanged for a crime he didn't commit, an innocent man & woman murdered, a secret room and a limping man creeping around the whole episode? If that sounds like a good time to you then tune into "Death and the Limping Man". Enjoy.

Saturday's random pulp cover: The Whisperer "The Dead Who Talked"
Nice cover for this short lived series. It ran for 14 issues in it's first run. The character appeared in short story form in the back pages of The Shadow Magazine (and one appearance in the pages of Crime Busters) over the course of the next three years. The magazine got a second chance in October of 1940 and ran 10 more issues before bowing out in April of 1942.

Ah, gaslighting. A favorite of old time radio. But is it really gaslighting if... well, take a listen to this 76 year old tale of Lamont, Margot and, of course, The Shadow and perhaps you'll wake up from your own "Dream of Death"!
