A classic tale told from the view of the insane criminal. He almost gets away with it due to the fact that the radio Shadow is far less the superman than the pulp version. Of course, if he solved it on the spot then the show would have been much shorter. So sit back and be a bit frustrated as Lamont can't quite put it all together in "The Destroyer".

The Shadow coloring book in 66 parts: Part 63
How sweet, the personification of vengeance itself strolling in a field on a calm spring afternoon with his gal pal.

Avenger Saturday presents: "The Frosted Death" paperback
<meh> Very odd postures for the figures. I guess the larger figure could be seen as frozen but The Avenger looks forced and unnatural. Well painted but poorly composed.
This is a far superior illustration.

There are actually two other episodes that have been preserved that aired before this. However, they are the Australian versions and I, truthfully, can't abide them. They always come off hammy and a bit tongue in cheek... to my ear. "The Man Who Dreamed Too Much" and "Death is Just Around the Corner", if anyone wants to listen to them. I may be too harsh as it's been some time since I sat through them.
Today's episode is "The Face of Death", a fairly standard thriller featuring Lamont and Margot. I've listened to this one so many times that it seems as though it's a recycling of any number of episodes. Still, Morrison delivers the consummate Cranston persona. His voice is really great for our hero.

Avenger Saturday presents: "The Devil's Horns" paperback
I like how this cover flipped original around. The three evil figures are in the background and floating towards the top of the page while the figure of The Avenger is in the foreground being menaced.

More evil under the guise of voodoo and black magic. A dancer is plagued by the sound of drums all because she took a bracelet from a tombstone in Haiti. Oddly enough this reminded me of an episode of Tarzan that I listened to a few months back. Another arrogant individual decided she wanted a piece of jewelry that didn't belong to her and she suffered the consequences. Will the same happen to Louise Renaldo? Sit back and listen to "Drums of Doom" and you'll find out for yourself.

Ya know, if they don't sign the note how can you trust them? Again, another chance to get out from under the vapid trance that Margo has over Lamont. Just sayin'...

More missing episodes, a common occurrence as we delve deeper into the later episodes. This adventure pits our hero, The Shadow, against technology. Is this truly the end for The Master of Men? Sit back and take a listen to "Death to The Shadow"!

Really? Where is the compartment with the cloak and hat? Sigh. Margo could be history by the time... ah, I get it. Very well played, Mr. Cranston.
