The Shadow "Black Rock" remake
Anyone who is interested in the radio program should give this modern remake a listen.
http://theshadowremake.com/
I've listened to the original many times so it was fun to hear a familiar story with some updates to the overall production (sound effects, music, etc...) Always great to "see" The Shadow make his presence known to the modern day audience.

Fingers of Death is the answer
Didn't realize I had done this one before. Oh, well, I've done them all before, haven't I. Great cover from early in the series. Love it!

Kinda Shadow related
I've been listening to a podcast for several years now but have never given it a shout out. The Great Detectives of Old Time Radio is a really terrific program that covers many great otr series from the past. If you want to spend some time 6 days a week with the likes of Rocky Jordan, Joe Friday or Mr. Keen then take a listen. It brings a smile to my face for half an hour each day sitting in front of my computer and I think it'll bring a grin to yours, as well.

Trail of the Talon
Usually I love "hand" covers. No such love for this odd addition to the covers of The Shadow. Fun but ultimately not one of my favorite covers.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed so....
I'll sit in the darkness and remember my mission...
or just toil away at my job and make the best of it.

It was 1943, after all
Our hero doing his patriotic duty to ensure that America wins the war. I'm sure this cover and the many others with similar themes are offensive to a large portion of today's society but I choose to look at it as part of our history & helping to show how we have evolved to the point we are at now. Don't take that to mean I think where we are at is any better than where we were 75 years ago. It's just different.

Happy Independence Day
Have a safe and fun Fourth, agents. Just remember why we are celebrating and the cost of our freedom.

Rasputin
Still love this storyline. Addressing The Shadow's original attachment to Russia rather than the more popular Chinese arcs made me happy. Think I'll pull these back out and reread this series.

Well done, Agent J
The answers to Friday's "What's the Difference" cover as reported by Agent J:
"Agent J reports: The red star in W, thade, skull's eye, missing tooth, finger tip missing"
