Saturday's random pulp cover: Doc Savage "The Mental Wizard": March, 1937

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not an expert on Doc Savage but it seems to me that he didn't have too many covers that had a woman on it.  Last week's featured Pat Savage in the foreground and this week we have, presumably, the enchantress "Z".  I guess you'll have to read the tale to find out.

Saturday's random pulp cover: Doc Savage "Fear Cay": September, 1934

Classic Baumhofer cover! Doc is looking all determined while Pat seems enthralled with the adventure.  Fans surely must have been eager to be the first to read this issue from Lester Dent.

Saturday's random pulp cover: The Phantom Detective "Harvest of Death":May, 1937

Wow, so much action in this early cover by Belarsky.  Tommy gun a-blazin', bullets ricocheting and microscopes tilting.  The victim even has the presence of mind to reach for the phone.  My guess is that he won't be able to dial out in about half a second.

Saturday's random pulp cover: The Phantom Detective "Murder Set to Music":Summer, 1944

Not as colorful as last week's, but the lady in yellow is in just as much peril as any other "dame" that graces these pulps.  The bad guy looks like quite the jerk to me.  I hope The Phantom Detective doles out some much deserved justice in this adventure!
