ON THE AIR: February 22, 1948

Classic.  Not much more to say but classic.  If you've never heard this broadcast before then you're in for a treat.  If, like me, you've heard it so many times you've lost count... then listen again.  Listen to "The Nursery Rhyme Murders" and remember why they call it the "Theatre of the Mind"

ON THE AIR: February 15, 1948

An insane "doctor" opens his own sanitarium in an old mansion.  How does he and his parrot come into possession of said mansion?  Why, through murder, of course.  But what to do about getting some patients to find this out of the way hospital?  You'll just have to tune in and listen to "The Terror at Wolf's Head Knoll" and see if The Shadow can save Margot and Lamont from the clutches of evil.

Saturday's random pulp cover: The Spider: "Slaves of the Dragon" May 1936

Typical cover for The Spider.  It may have been fun to have hinted at some scales to really push the "dragon" aspect, not just a green hand.  However, since I haven't read this (or any Spider, for that matter) I don't know if the villain has a green hand or not.  Want to know more about this issue?  Click on this link and see what Shadow super fan and all around good guy John Olsen has to say.
